The 160mg tablet provides an appropriate dose for medium to large dogs without requiring multiple smaller tablets, making administration easier and more accurate.

Giving Cerenia with a small meal may help reduce stomach upset, especially when used for motion sickness. Always follow your vet’s instructions.

No. Cerenia 160mg is too strong for small dogs and should only be used in large dogs when specifically prescribed by a veterinarian.

8. Are there common side effects?

Possible side effects include lethargy, diarrhoea, drooling or reduced appetite. Severe reactions are rare but require immediate veterinary attention.

9. Can Cerenia be used to prevent car sickness?

Yes. Cerenia is one of the most effective veterinary medications for preventing motion sickness in dogs. Your vet will instruct when and how to give it before travel.

Your vet will assess your dog’s medications to determine if Cerenia is safe to use. Always provide a full list of current treatments.
