How Apoquel Works

Apoquel contains oclacitinib, a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor. It blocks specific inflammatory pathways responsible for itch and inflammation, delivering targeted relief without the widespread immune suppression associated with corticosteroids.

Directions for Use

Administer exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian. Dosage depends on your dog’s weight and the severity of their condition. Do not adjust or stop treatment without veterinary guidance. If you miss a dose, ask your vet for advice.

Possible Side Effects

Mild gastrointestinal upset (vomiting, diarrhoea), reduced appetite or lethargy may occur. Less commonly, dogs may develop skin lumps or infections. Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice unusual, persistent or worsening symptoms.
